So you've moved to the wonderful town of Mesquite, Texas, rented a really cool apartment, and now you don't know what to do? Well, for a top notch school check out Eastfield College.

Eastfield College has been serving The Mesquite, Garland and East Dallas community since 1970. Eastfield College provides educational opportunities through high quality instruction, services and programs, in an environment conducive to student success in academic, technical,occupational, and

continuing education. Eastfield college is part of the Dallas County Community College District (DCCD.)

If you decide to go to Eastfield College and you are a new college student, there are some basic requirements that you need toget out of the way, before you enroll in classes. You need to fill out the online application. Then you need to go to an advisement session about taking your placement test. The college will then ask you to take a placement exam. This test determines your reading, math, and writing skills. Once you take this test, you will be allowed to create a tentative schedule and following you and your advisors approval of the schedule, then you register for classes and pay your tuition. It's that simple! The tuition at Eastfield is very affordable, only $39 dollars for residents of Tarrant County. That's $468 for 12 hours of classes. Getting an associates degree is very affordable. 36 hours of classes leading to an associates degree will only cost you $1404! Wow!

Although there are no residence halls on Eastfield campus, there is an active social scene and there are always events happening on campus. Some of the highlights are Student Government, Student Leadership Academy, Educational Field Trips and Performing Arts. If this wasn't enough for you, try their athletics programs. They offer competitive men's and women's Basketball, Baseball, Volleyball, Soccer and Tennis. The College is division III in the following sports: Women's tennis, Men's Baseball, Men's Basketball. They are a member of the National Junior College Athletics Administration (NJCAA.)
