In 2013 the population of Kennedale was about 7,236. Since the year 2000, the population has increased almost 24%, so people have definitely been taking note of this charming little town. Outdoor enthusiasts especially are appreciating this town with three outstanding parks!
Sonora Park: This 22 acre park is the largest and features disc golf and a paved trail around a lake. Many enjoy fishing there. It's a great pace for kids to ride bikes too.
Rodgers Farm Park: The park can be found in the neighborhood of Rolling Hills. Here you can get your b-ball game on with friends at a half-size basketball court. The kids can enjoy a great playground, and there are walking trails to enjoy as well! Be sure to pack a basket too and enjoy a picnic at a picnic table!
TownCenter Park: This park is between City Hall and the Public Library and has a memorial dedicated to September 11. There's lots of equipment for kids here: a merry-go-round, baby swings, a multilevel play structure, and race-cars that spring and bounce. Moms and dads can relax at the pavilion or at one of the picnic tables while the kids play!
