Tarrant County College is a very affordable 2 year community college that is dedicated to providing quality education that exceeds expectations. Founded in 1965, the college supplements it's mission statement with a variety of programs that range from: University Transfer Programs, Workforce Education Programs, Technical Programs, Adult and Continuing Education and Qualified, Dedicated Staff that are working to meet the needs of a diverse student body.
If you are a new student enrolling for the first time at TCC, the requirements are as follows. Submission of your high school transcript is the first step. You will also need to fill out an application to the college. Finally, before you are allowed to register for classes, you will have to take a placement test, that measures your skills in Mathematics and English. This allows the college to either waive or require that you take the classes in order to meet the standards set by the College and the State of Texas. Tuition is a standard $50 dollars per credit hour, for Tarrant county residents. Total tuition for 12 hours comes to about $700 dollars a semester, not including books and transportation costs.
